Independent engineers on your side of the table - supervising, verifying and certifying so your project gets what you're paying for.

Overview

Your eyes and ears on site

On most construction projects, everyone reporting to the client has something to sell. Independent supervision changes that: our engineers' only deliverable is the truth about what's being built on your site.

SCALE-UP LTD provides MEP supervisory consultancy for developers, institutions and public bodies. Our engineers inspect installations, coordinate contractors, verify compliance against designs and standards, and certify progress - so payments track reality and defects surface while they're still cheap to fix.

This is the delivery model behind much of our portfolio: landmark projects including Amahoro Stadium, Green Hills Academy, the University of Rwanda's Huye campus and the Kigali Bulk Water Project were delivered under our engineers' supervision.

Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between your supervision and the contractor's own QA?

Independence. A contractor's QA reports to the contractor. Our engineers report to you, certify only what passes inspection, and have no incentive to overlook anything.

At what project stage should supervision start?

Ideally before contractors mobilise, so inspection hold points are built into the programme. But we regularly join live projects - starting with an audit of the works completed so far.

Do you supervise non-MEP works too?

Our core strength is MEP supervision, where specialist knowledge matters most. On several projects we also coordinate adjacent scopes - we'll be straightforward about where our expertise starts and ends.

How is supervision priced?

Typically as a monthly fee scaled to project size and inspection intensity, agreed up front. Clients generally find it pays for itself in avoided defects and disciplined certification.

Building something important?

Put independent engineers on your side before the first pipe goes in. It's the cheapest insurance a project can buy.
